The DR mobile system, co-developed by Time Medical and Chery Automobile, is a professional mobile digital X-ray diagnostic platform that integrates different advanced technologies including artificial intelligence DR, independent medical data processing system, thermostatic and moisture-proof materials and radiation shielding technology. By combining advanced AI technology with fundamental medical diagnostic demand, Time Medical’s mobile DR system can help China and Belt and Road countries provide medical digital diagnosis in rural area and areas in lack of physicians and technicians.

ALEC LEUNG, INTERNATIONAL MARKETING DIRECTOR OF TIME MEDICAL SYSTEMS INTRODUCES PERFORMANCE OF MOBILE DR SYSTEM TO MINISTER MA XIAOWEI

Ma Xiaowei, Minister of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China listened to the presentation of Time Medical in developing mobile diagnostic system in the “2019 The Central-East European Countries – China Health Ministers’ Meeting”. He praised that “mobile medical service is a development trend. The mobile medical system should be promoted to various countries and regions, and the image data can be uploaded and transferred to the provincial primary hospitals for interpretation. The screening machine developed by Time Medical is great!”

Time Medical had donated an MRI and a DR system worth of over RMB 3 million to two hospitals in Hubei Xiaogan and Huanggang to support epidemic prevention and control in February. The mobile DR system donated this time has filled the gap in Suizhou for mobile diagnosis demand. It does not only provide regular health inspection for epidemic prevention and patient recovery, but also serve enterprises in resuming work and production.

Mobile DR system developed by Time Medical possesses intelligent DR and AI image interpretation systems which are capable of identifying patient body position and completing positioning procedures before automatic imaging, which helps to prevent spread of diseases. UV light disinfection system is also installed in the vehicle to provide automatic disinfection so as to avoid cross infection. Remote data transfer through vehicular network helps to achieve the goal “Imaging in grass-root level; Diagnosis at community level”. The system is especially suitable for use during disease outbreak.

Currently, the fighting against coronavirus pneumonia has achieved initial accomplishment. In the next stage concerning control and prevention, the mobile DR system is expected to act as an efficient tool in protracted war against pneumonia. By traveling around the community to provide services, the system is able to help hospitals confirm suspected source of infection anytime through imaging, while also to  provide regular follow-up consultation service for recovered patient to ensure health and safety of residents at the same time.

China will progressively set up mobile DR diagnosis service in the future, preparing for sudden occurrence that may lead to lack of public health care resources, and for lower rate of infection and severity. Mobile DR system will gradually drive diagnostic imaging screening, such as pulmonary infection and tuberculosis screening, to become a common practice while building up a digital network of fundamental medical diagnostic service for residents.

Time Medical’s mobile DR system has been selected as a major project for the Belt and Road of China National Development and Reform Commission, and the project receives compliment and attention from Dr Tedros, Director-General of World Health Organization, Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan and Ministry of Health officials from Belt and Road countries. Michelle Williams, Dean of the Faculty of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health also shows her attention on Time Medical mobile diagnosis and other similar projects that widely benefit developing countries. She said that “we will together facilitate digital healthcare service in developing countries especially in the cooperation and promotion of breast screening and AI mobile diagnostic platform”. This beneficial project started by Time Medical will certainly become the focus in global healthcare reform with the lead of Harvard School of Public Health.
